The Entry that Time Forgot

I’ve been meaning to write an entry here for a while now, I feel like I’ve neglected it. Blogging is good for the soul, or something like that.

I watched Across the Universe a couple of times over the last week. It’s incredibly great. I know I have less exacting standards for movies than some, but I really loved this. I was really excited for it when I stumbled across the trailer originally, so I bought it when it came out on DVD without having seen it first (something I rarely do).

What this leads me to is an idea for the HazardousToast, which is no longer my developer blog (I incorporated that into Toastwerks, which still doesn’t have its own design). I’m going to start posting movie reviews there. I have one written for Mirrormask somewhere that I’ll post – I think it was on the original Joomla HazardousToast site. Then I’ll post a review for Across the Universe, which deserves one. I know there are lots of movie review sites out there, but I’m aiming to make HT a magazine-style site. I’m going to try (again) to recruit writers other than myself to give some variety. I’d love to get into podcasting (ever since I bought my Motorola Q I’ve been listening to podcasts while I walk), but I don’t think I’m interesting enough.

Speaking of podcasts, the specific ones I listen to:

If anyone out there has any suggestions, every once in a while I catch up with the newest updates – I could probably fit another one in there.

I’ve been trying to refocus some of my habits to web applications. It’s a work in progress, but in the next post I’ll try and detail what I’m doing. I decided since I’m turning 26 this year I might as well start taking responsibility for myself.
