I Never Promised Anything Epic
Since I was home by myself most of the night, I decided to run Juno again in the background while I worked on other things. It still held up on a second viewing, and now I’ve been running the soundtrack on my other PC. Pay no attention to the fact that I’ve got nothing more interesting to do than watching the same movie for the second day in a row.
The Ottawa Senators were swept out of the first round of the NHL playoffs, and that’s just awesome to me. It almost makes up for the fact that Buffalo missed the big show this year.
I felt like I did better about not goofing off so much at work today. My biggest problem is eliminating internet distractions, I think. I’m going to uninstall my feed readers and such.
We’ve started playing tennis again this year, and so far it’s going well. I have my serve down a little more consistently, and my screwed up finger doesn’t hurt as much when I hold the racket for any length of time. It’s good that I can do that, because I’m going to have to stop walking at lunch time during work if it stays this sunny – I can’t afford to get all sweaty in the middle of the day. Tennis and golf will have to make up for it, when I can manage to get any in.

Thanks!
I’m not sure I’d be legally allowed to call what I do golfing. I may have to call it ‘hitting golf balls around the vicinity of a golf course.’ Other than that, yeah, I golf – just not well (the finger set me back last year).
As for tennis, you might want to try finding a couple more people and playing doubles. That’s what we do most of the time, and it lets you work on your game more and chase the ball less, usually.

I didn’t know you golfed. I’m thinking of learning at some point…and I really need to get better at tennis. I enjoy playing, but I end up chasing the balls all over the place.
BTW, happy birthday in a few minutes!
