Regrets (I Think They’re a Kind of Bird)
Today, I think, was the first day that I truly regretted screwing up when I was in college.
The story played out when I was looking into Master’s degree online programs. You see, one of the benefits of my current job is that my company will reimburse education costs for studying in your field. As I work in IT, that’s just perfect for me. However, since I’m a screwup and I slacked my way into a terrible GPA, I don’t qualify for admission into any of the interesting programs. Teaches me, huh?
I went to the Cleveland Zoo last weekend, had a blast. Mostly I like zoos because it gives me a chance to test out my photo skills on living things. I never find the time anymore to actually go out into the woods. Someday here I’ll put the better pictures up on my Flickr or something.
I’m still enjoying World of Warcraft. I know it’s a time sink, but since I only play on the weekends or the rare couple of hours during the week, it’s not too bad for me. I just need to find some other casual players to go through some of the harder content with me.
I actually wrote a little bit of fiction last night on a whim. It wasn’t much, but it was a start. Now to see if I can keep it going.

My department is going to have open positions, hopefully, next month…then you could get free masters degrees
…just a thought.
