DC Vacation Day Four
Today we got up and headed to the National Museum of Natural History. It was excellent, second only to the Air & Space Museum. (The Jim Henson one is so awesome that it is useless to compare anything else to it.) I took a bunch of pictures, but only about half of them turned out non-blurry. For some reason my camera doesn’t use the image stabilization very well in dim lighting. Not much of the lighting was anything other than dim, so a lot of my pictures turned out poorly. The fossils and such were cool – ground sloths kick ass.
Headed back over to the National Gallery of Art to hit up the Gallery shop. Picked up a Van Gogh print for myself and a Monet print for my aunt (she’s obsessed with Monet). Headed over to the other half of the art museum and wandered around. No photography allowed again.
We decided to call it a day and spend the rest of tonight relaxing. Tomorrow I have to drive back – most of the day is spent driving through Pennsylvania. Driving in Pennsylvania sucks. They have the stupidest road signs – I saw one that said "left turn yields on green."
