RIP Xbox360

On Wednesday my Xbox360 died.  Red Ring of Death, as it were.  I have mixed feelings about the ordeal.  On one hand, my Xbox died, and that’s upsetting.  On the other hand, it’s still under the 1 year warranty and I can just get it fixed.  (I know there’s an extended warranty for RRoD issues, but still it’s nice to know that I could get it fixed for free.)  Now I’m going to drop it off at UPS tomorrow and send it on its way to Texas (for some reason).

It’s somewhat weird.  I didn’t really play it that much, I would consider myself more of a “casual” gamer (if I were to subscribe to that argument at all, which I don’t).  But a most of the games that I want to play right now are on the 360, and not the Wii.  I guess I’ll have to go out and buy Super Paper Mario or something to tide me over.  It amazes me that I miss playing it so much – most of my time on it is spent playing hockey with my brother.  (Speaking of which, I still need to find out which of the NHL games for this year I want to purchase – but the Blockbuster in town only carries NHL 2k9.  That’s BS.)

Hopefully my 360 finds its way back here quickly.  At least this isn’t my fifth or so broken 360, like someone I know.
