Another Blown Saturday
I spent most of Saturday (the part when I was awake, anyway) just running around all of the different zones in World of Warcraft. I say when I was awake because I woke up late around 1:00 PM and then crashed again shortly afterward with a massive headache. I’ll go into more detail about just why I was running around on my next Warcraft Wednesday entry.
I’ve been irrationally angry so far this weekend. I’m not sure why – though, I think if I knew why it wouldn’t be irrational. I’ve been yelling at people for no reason, and driving has been hell. I think I’ve turned the corner into just grumpy, however, and by the time I get back to work on Monday I should be my normal self.
Last Monday and Tuesday I attended the IT all hands meeting at work. This is really an unremarkable event, we do it at least twice a year. What makes this one special is that I’m on a real kick to get back to my nerdy ways, and I managed to write down a long list of all the things we are hoping to accomplish. I’m planning to learn as much as possible about those things – not necessarily for career advancement, but mostly just for my education. It includes items such as TPM, VMWare, and as much of AIX as I can absorb.
I just feel the need to drive myself a little bit farther intellectually, and since colleges don’t want to let me anywhere near a technology graduate degree, I’m going to take it into my own hands.
